Salomé Bazin is a French artist and movement director, founder of experiential design studio Cellule. She holds a BA from Olivier de Serres in Paris and MA from Central Saint Martins London. Her work is a tension between digital art, experiential and performance, in an exploration of new mediums to experience natural phenomena, oceanic flows and human physiology. She uses interactive media, sound and choreographic composition as a vessel to allow audiences to interact with larger natural phenomena, and as an invitation for collective synchronisation.
Over the last few years, her work has reached a wide audience with showcases at Science Gallery London, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Barbican centre, Mira festival, Sadler’s Well theatre, Venice Biennale amongst others. She worked with numerous scientific organisations including King’s College London, Imperial College, the Royal Society, ENS Cachan, CMCC, OGS trieste, and got honorary mention from the STARTS Prize Ars Electronica and Lumen Prize Longlist in 3D Interactive art.
